Linda Marie Parrillo, age 81, passed away on January 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Providence, Rhode Island, on October 6,1943, to the late Peter and Linda (Lupo) DePari.
Linda was the devoted wife of James Parrillo Sr. and loving mother to her two children, son James Anthony Parrillo Jr. and his wife Eva Parrillo, and daughter Lynette Marie Watler and her husband Danny Watler. She was the proud grandmother to Alexandrea Calvacca, Marc DeSourdy Jr., Christina Marie Parrillo, and Sophia Marie Parrillo, and a doting great-grandmother to Henry and Violet Calvacca, and Eddie DeSourdy.
Linda’s career as a schoolteacher spanned 28 years at Clayville Elementary School in Scituate, Rhode Island, where she taught third grade. She was deeply passionate about her students and touched many lives during her years of service.
A graduate of Rhode Island College, Linda had a love for life, especially when it came to spending time with her family, playing bingo, and enjoying her favorite foods, particularly Chinese cuisine.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Linda DePari, and her sisters Connie DeCiantis and Jane Pietrantonio
A lifelong resident of Scituate, Linda moved to West Palm Beach, Florida, in 2000 to enjoy her retirement years. In 2022, she and her husband returned to Rhode Island to be closer to family.
Linda’s legacy of love, warmth, and kindness will be cherished by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and everyone whose life she touched.
Her funeral will be from the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence, 9:00 am Friday January 17th followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am Blessed Sacrament Church, 179 Academy Ave, Providence. Burial will follow in St Ann Cemetery, Cranston Visiting hours are Thursday, 4:00-7:00 pm.
