It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Lori, a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, God mother and friend. Lori passed away on March 20th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and laughter that will forever be cherished by those who knew her.
A woman full of life, Lori brought joy and light to everyone she encountered. Whether she was caring for her children, sharing wisdom with her grandchildren, or offering a listening ear to friends and family, her warmth and generosity knew no bounds. Her infectious smile could light up any room, and her laughter could brighten even the darkest of days. She had a special way of making everyone feel loved and valued, and her positive energy was a gift to all who were fortunate enough to know her. She was the life of the party, always bringing fun, laughter, and energy to every gathering. Her sense of humor was one of her most beloved traits—always ready with a joke or a funny story.
Lori not only had love for her children, but for her children by heart whom she had adopted through love. Lori opened her heart to whom she considered her step children with the same love and devotion she gave her biological children. She loved them as well as their children through her kindness, her patience, and her unwavering support, and she embraced them as her own. Her love for all of her children and grandchildren—by birth or by heart—was unconditional.
Lori was also a lover of dancing. She danced through life with grace and joy, bringing a spark of energy to every room she entered. Her love for music and movement was a reflection of her vibrant spirit and love for life. Many will remember her graceful two step and rhythm, which brought smiles to all who were lucky enough to share those moments with her.
Lori was a loyal Green Bay Packers fan through and through. Whether cheering them on during game days or wearing her green and gold with pride, her passion for the Packers was unwavering.
One of Lori’s greatest joys was capturing moments with her loved ones and friends. She loved taking pictures of the love, laughter, and connection that filled her life. She cherished taking pictures with her family, always ensuring that memories were preserved for years to come and that “life is short, one day this is all we’ll have to look back on”.
As a mother, Lori was the foundation of her family, always putting the needs of others before her own. Her nurturing spirit and support shaped the lives of her children and grandchildren, and her legacy of love will continue to live on through them.
Lori was also a cherished sister, aunt, and friend. Her loyalty, compassion, and sense of humor made her an irreplaceable part of her family. Her friendships were deep and genuine, and she always made those around her feel at home with her warmth.
Lori was predeceased by her mother Christine Moody, father William Etheridge and her granddaughter Naiomi McCoy. She is survived by her son’s Rachin McCoy and Malik Moody as well as her daughters Rajeeyah Moody and Khadijah Moody. She is also survived by her grandson Zion Moody and granddaughter Kinsley Moody who will forever hold her in their hearts.
Though she may no longer be with us, Lori’s spirit will continue to guide and inspire us. We are forever grateful for the love and joy she brought into our lives.
