Margaret “Peggy” D. (Lazzareschi) Denellio
95, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 30, 2025. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Denellio. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Mary (Carello) Lazzareschi.
She was the loving mother of Frank Denellio and his wife Roberta of Scituate/Hope, Barbara Gentile and her husband Rick of Cranston, and the late Susan Tardio; mother-in-law of Vincenzo Tardio; cherished grandmother of Maria, Leah, Christina, David, Paul, Nicholas, and great grandmother of Nolan, Natalie, Ava, John, Joey, Gabriel, and Ella. She was the sister of the late Viola Smith and Norma Coia.
Peggy worked as a merchandiser in the food industry for many years. She was also an active member of St. Mark Church in Cranston. Peggy’s great joy in life was her family and enjoying the next get together. She made friends easily and was always extremely social and the life of the party. She loved playing cards, going to the casino, reading, and doing puzzles.
VISITING HOURS will be held on Saturday, February 1st from 8:00 – 9:00 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mark Church, Cranston. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
