Robert E. “Bob” Champagne
86, of Cranston, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, May 4, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Mary J. Johnson-Champagne. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Armand and Malvina (Dionne) Champagne.
Bob was the owner of R. Champagne & Sons General Contracting for the past 65 years. He was an Honorary Member and Past President three times of the Smithfield Gun Club.
Besides his wife Mary, Bob was the devoted father of David B. Champagne and his husband Rodney Roderick of East Greenwich, the late Gary A. Champagne and his late wife Ann Marie, the late Mark A. Champagne and his wife Lori of Cranston and James Shepherd and his wife Christine of Lake Worth, FL; and brother of the late Arthur Champagne and Lorraine Champagne. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson.
Visiting hours are Saturday morning May 17th at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston from 10 a.m. to 12 noon followed by a Funeral Service at 12 noon, all to which relatives and friends are invited.
