Viola Ann Rock, 86, passed away peacefully on January 20, 2026. She was the wife of the late John S. Rock.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late John and Lydia (Rosati) Parkis.
She grew up in the Wanskuck section of Providence and later resided in Pawtucket. Viola was employed by Miriam Hospital for over 30 years before retiring and was an avid Red Sox fan.
She was the mother of Lydia Jackson and her husband Shelby and the late John J. Rock and grandmother of Shelby Jackson and Hayley Webler and great grandmother of Sawyer. She was also the cousin of Martha Orlandi.
Her funeral and burial was private.
