It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Yuberka M. Jimenez, of Providence, a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, who left us on July 7, 2025. She was a beacon of light in the lives of all who knew her, and her infectious energy and kindness touched countless hearts.
She was the devoted wife of Jose Jimenez for 33 years.
Born in the Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of Cesar and Norma (Polanco) Lora.
Yuberka was known for her unwavering strength and resilience, qualities that shone brightly even in the face of adversity. Her radiant smile could light up any room, bringing joy and comfort to those around her, no matter the challenges she faced. She had a unique ability to uplift others, reminding us all of the power of compassion and love.
A cherished member of her community, Yuberka attended services at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church, where she found solace and connection with her faith. Her spiritual journey was an integral part of her life, guiding her through both joyous and difficult times.
Yuberka had a deep love for her family, particularly her roots in the Dominican Republic, where she often visited to connect with her extended family. These trips were filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories that she held dear to her heart.
As we remember Yuberka, we celebrate her life—a life filled with love, laughter, and an indomitable spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and strength that will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her husband, Jose Jimenez; her daughter, Kassandra Colon; her son, Michael Jimenez; her stepsons, Jose Jimenez and Mike Jimenez; her son-in-law, Sam Colon; her daughter-in-law, Shaina Jimenez; her grandsons, Aizen Colon and Aiden Jimenez; her brothers and sisters; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
In honor of Yuberka, we invite those who loved her to gather and share their memories, celebrating the beautiful impact she had on our lives. May her spirit live on in our hearts forever.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 4:00-6:00 PM in the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence. A Prayer Service will be held at 6:00 PM in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
