Anthony Cataldi, 82, of Providence, RI, passed away on Sunday June 29th surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of the late Karen (Cusson) Cataldi, and the former husband of Sandra (Cromwell) Sajkowski.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Nello and Almerinda (Borelli) Cataldi. Anthony worked as a salesman in the food industry for many years, before becoming a driver for Borelli’s Bakery. He was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan, as well as other Boston professional sports teams. He was a baseball collector and loved to cook.
He is survived by three daughters, Doreen Mack, Denise Cataldi, and Sherry Bouchard; five grandchildren Harry Scaramuzzi III, Autum Marie Scaramuzzi, Kadra Holland, Tiffany Rose Bouchard, and Adrianna Cataldi; three great-grandchildren, Winter, Isaiah, and Savino; and two brothers, Frank Cataldi and Ronald Cataldi. He was the grandfather of the late Jordan Lynn Scaramuzzi.
A funeral service will be held at the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence on Thursday July 10th at 11:00 am. Burial will be private at a later date. Visiting hours are Wednesday July 9, 5:00pm – 7:00 pm.
