I am terrified of and a little obsessed with bridges, so it was with great interest that I read “Spanning the Seekonk River: Bridge over Troubled Waters?” by Ruth Marris-Macaulay in the February 5 edition of The Providence Eye.
What a fascinating and well-written piece!
I learned a lot about Providence history while encountering the stories of the local spans. Once the Washington Bridge is safe again, I look forward to taking a tour of all of the Providence bridges Ms. Marris-Macaulay discusses in her fine article.
