Readers’ Voices 03.26

I’m delighted to see Jane Lancaster’s bio of Harry Kizarian. (“Harry Kizirian 1925-2002: An Angel Without Wings,” from March 19.) For those of us a bit long in the tooth, we remember often seeing Postmaster Kizirian when we went to the main post office on postal business.  He was unfailingly polite, warm and friendly. It was clear he earned the admiration of his staff and letter carriers, including our own wonderful Bucky. It was also clear that the post office was run efficiently, with no nonsense.

The notion of public service comes to mind.  He was a model of service to community in so many ways.
