Robert “Robbie” Rogers, Jr., 61 of Providence, RI, passed away on April 23, 2025.
He will be greeted by: His father, Robert Rogers, Sr.; his brother, Wayne Rogers; and his brother-in-law, James Wilson.
He will be missed by: His mother, Ana Rogers. His siblings: Rosemarie McCollum and her husband George McCollum, Lorey-ann Rogers and her husband Michael McCollum, and Diann Wilson. Seven children: Robert Rogers III and his wife, Barbara Rogers, DeWayne Rogers, Kyle Rogers and his wife, Nichole Ward, Eric Rogers, Yvette Rogers, La’Taya Rogers, and Kevin Rogers. Fourteen grandchildren: Iziah, Elijah, Miya, Terrence, Erikah, Janessa, Eric, Jr., Gabriella, DJ, Timothy, Ryan, Timeeya, Kyle Jr., and Aida, and many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
He valued his family above anything. He would drop anything to help someone in need. He had a quiet confidence about him and took great pride in his appearance. He enjoyed gardening and snowstorms. He worked as a commercial truck driver for over three decades.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2025 from 4:00-5:00 pm with a celebration of his life from 5:00-6:00 pm in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence, RI. Burial will be private.
