Violent crime (murder, rape, etc.) in Providence is way down in 2022, and has been falling consistently over the past 5 years. According to the Providence Police Department’s crime statistics, violent crime is down 19% since 2017. Property Crime (burglary, car theft, etc.), however, is on the rise.
