Eleanor “ Candy” McSwain

Eleanor “ Candy” McSwain 75 Years Young. Passed Away December 30, 2025 at the Home Health and Hospice Center in Providence RI. Born in Providence Rhode Island on July 1, 1950 to Richard Brown And Antonia Lopes. She was the Ex Wife of Alvin McSwain Sr. Candy Would Proceed I’m going to Rhode Island College were She Would Receive her Masters Degree in Social Work. After that She became the Founder of Destiny House A Non- Profit Agency that Specialized in Helping Woman and Young Girls in Domestic Violence Situations. She Would Accompany the Providence Police Department to Domestic Violence calls to Deescalate Situations. She Loved to go Partying with her Closest Friends. She loved to Sing and Even Sang with or without a Band at Various Clubs Around Providence. Candy is Survived by 5 Children Pamyla Clark, Jamie Jones, Jillian Jones, Alvin Mcswain Jr and April Andrews. And the Late Tina McSwain. She is Also Survived by 10 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. Any Donations can be Sent to St Jude’s Hospital.
